Here are some tips and tricks to make your cloth diapering experience easier:
- Dump solids into toilet and place dirty diaper right into pail. Allow the washing machine to remove any remaining mess. Easy!
- Keep diapers organized in a special place along with your other diapering accessories.
- Stuff inserts into pocket diapers as soon as they are out of the wash and dry. This way they are ready to just grab and use.
- If
you are using a One Size Pocket style diaper; adjust the rise and again
stuff the diaper with insert so it is ready to use before you need it.
- If
you are using Prefolds fold into thirds and place in the center of the
diaper cover. Gently close it all up so that when you are ready to use
it - just open and place it all on your baby.
- If your baby/tot is squirmy you might find velcro closing diapers easier to use.
- For
ultimate convenience use All in One Diapers. Add a hemp doubler or extra hemp insert when more absorbency is needed - like longer trips out or overnight.
- When
ultra-trimness is needed (like when wearing jeans) you might like
Thirsties AIO or Knickernappies Pocket Diapers. Hemp Prefolds with a
snug fitting cover can be slim as well.
- Since cloth diapers are slightly bulkier - the next time you shop for baby clothing size up on the bottoms and choose pants that are slightly wider through the backside.
- Remove inserts and close laundry tabs before placing soiled diapers in the diaper pail.
